The Blue Acorn Inn offers six individually decorated rooms and suites in an 1847 farmhouse situated on 22 acres with sweeping views of Mt. Sunapee. The kid-friendly inn is stocked with toys, games, children's books and DVDs and features a Great Room with a fieldstone fireplace that's perfect to enjoying board games and family time. The Highland Lake Inn, a restored gentleman's farmhouse that was originally built in 1767 is one of the oldest homesteads in Andover. Spring Into Summer Faire

Enjoy small town charm in a sophisticated setting as you take in the “Spring Into Summer Faire” in the historic old Hillsborough Center. Admission is free and juried artists and artisans abound. There will be live entertainment on Saturday with three groups of Morris Dancers and a falconry exhibit. Sunday will feature Blue Grass music with the Late Night Radio Band.
Also included in your two night package will be Friday evening hors d’oeuvres, hearty country breakfasts both mornings, directions to the Faire, a dinner discount to Daniel’s restaurant, and an optional self guided tour of Hillsborough’s old stone bridges, antique shops and the Franklin Pierce Homestead.

Harney & Sons Holiday Tea Tasting & Inns Tour ~ December 4-6, 2009
Join area inns for a warm and welcoming gourmet tea tasting tour in the Dartmouth/Lake Sunapee Region. Your tour will start Saturday, December 6th, 11am at an assigned inn for an instructional tea tasting featuring John Harney, owner of Harney & Sons Teas, along with sons Mike and Paul. Afterward you will enjoy a self-guided tour of holiday decorated area inns, each serving a different special Harney tea blend along with a light nibble. The self-guided tour runs 12-4pm on December 5 & 6, 2009.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the NH Food Bank.
Master tea blender, John Harney, founder of Harney & Sons and his son Mike Harney will be at the inns to demonstrate the art of brewing the perfect cup of tea and sharing and comparing some of their wonderful teas. For over 25 years Harney & Sons has been assisting the hospitality industry in upgrading their tea service and providing staff training in the art of brewing tea. Some of their first customers were Chuck Williams of Williams-Sonoma and Starbucks. Today the company sells a wide variety of the finest teas from around the world, as well as cookbooks, teapots and tea-related gifts and food treats. Harney & Sons also produces the teas for the Historic Palaces of England private label.
