GSV Photo Contest Have your recently vacationed in New Hampshire

Enter to win our photo contest and you will be entered to win a free Maple Sugar Weekend Package from one of our participating inns for the Spring of 2009.
 Grand Prize Winners will receive the Maple Sugar Weekend Package and the winning photos will be used on our home page with your name and a photo credit.Runners up will have the opportunity to have their pictures used on the Granite State Vacations website with their names and a photo credit and will receive a small thank you gift from Granite State Vacations for entering.OFFICIAL GSV CONTEST RULES

Photo Eligibility:
To enter, you must be at least 18 years of age and a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident (green card). GSV employees, Board members and their immediate family members are not eligible. Immediate family includes only spouses, parents and children. All photos must be taken in New Hampshire within the last three years.
Photo Formats:
Entries may be color prints or digital images. Please read the specific guidelines for submitting prints and digital images.
Photographer/Copyright:
Entries must be submitted by the original photographer. Do not submit a photo taken by someone other than yourself. You must be the sole owner of the copyright of any image submitted. Your submission of the photo and entry form is your guarantee that you are the author and copyright holder of the photo. If photos contain adults and/or minor, a model release must be filled out and received by GSV before the photos may be utilized.
Number of Entries:
An individual may submit up to 5 photos for consideration.
Photo Subject Restrictions:
Photos must be appropriate for posting on a public website. Obscene, provocative or otherwise questionable content will not be considered. GSV retains sole discretion as to what constitutes inappropriate content.
Return of Photos:
Photos, regardless of the medium, will not be returned. Please do not send your only copy of a photo.
Ownership/Use Rights:
Photographers retain the copyright to their photographs. By entering the contest, photographers agree to have their submitted photograph displayed on the Granite State Vacations website and agree that Granite State Vacations may display winning photos in a "past winners" photo gallery and may make and retain copies of the photograph for archival purposes. In the event that ownership of any photograph submitted to GSV is contested in any manner, GSV retains the discretion to disqualify that photograph and discontinue use of the photograph.
Photo Submitters Agreement:
I hereby certify that the photo I am about to submit is my original work and has never been copyrighted or, if copyrighted, that I am the sole copyright owner. I am entering this photo as an honest and true effort of my personal creativity and unique artistic vision, and I understand that it will be published on the Internet as my original work and under my own copyright. I understand that my submission will be reviewed before it is accepted for the contest. If my photo is offensive, artificially enhanced, a studio image, animation/artwork, or of poor image quality, then it may be disqualified.
How to Enter:
Digital photos may be submitted by email. Prints may be mailed along with contact information to Forfeng Designs, P.O. Box 352, Bradford, NH 03221
Judging:
Entries will be judged on the basis of creativity, photographic quality, and effectiveness in conveying the beauty and/or unique character of New Hampshire. The GSV panel will include professionals in graphic design, website design, website development, marketing and public relations.
Digital images should be submitted by email to
Images should be formatted to 72 dpi, no larger than 600 by 450 pixels and no smaller than 450 by 338 pixels. Panoramic photos are not eligible. Images should be submitted in JPG (at high quality) or TIFF format. File sizes must be less than 500K per image. Digital images will not be returned.
Image Modifications:
Minor digital enhancement is permitted, but images that have been significantly modified or appear unnatural will be disqualified.
Not Permitted:
No borders or frames may be added to images.No watermarks, signatures, or copyright notices may be added to images. All winning images will be displayed with the photographer's name.Adding or replacing elements in an image is not permitted.Artistic filters are not permitted.Permitted Modifications:
Images may be cropped and rotated as necessary as long as the rectangular format is maintained and the size is within the specifications above.Images may be resized as long as the aspect ratio is maintainedRed-eye removal and spot editingOne-step enhancement (such as "AutoFix", "QuickFix", "Auto Levels", etc.)Use of filters to sharpen, soften, blur, despeckle, or remove noise.Use of corrective functions to improve the natural appearance of the image, such as levels, contrast, brightness, curves, intensity, tone, hue, saturation, lightness, value, color balance, and tint.Submitting Prints:
Prints must be 4 x 6 inches or 5 x 7 inches. Do not send negatives. Attach a label to the back of each print with your name and address. Do not write on the photo itself. If submitting multiple entries, please number each print Prints will not be returned.
Additional Terms and Conditions
By participating in the contest, you agree to release and hold harmless GSV and its employees, officers, affiliates, agents, and advertising and promotional agencies from any and all damages, injuries, claims, causes of actions, or losses of any kind resulting from your participation in this contest, including infringement of intellectual property rights. GSV and its employees, officers, affiliates, agents, and advertising and promotional agencies assume no responsibility or liability for any damages, injuries, claims, causes of actions, or losses of any kind arising in whole or in part from this contest.
Contest Winners will be notified by email and snail mail by December 31, 2008 or before if the judging committee pre-determines winners.
